Riverside County Board of Supervisors Honors the Morongo Band of Mission Indians

Standing before hundreds of elected, business and community leaders, the Riverside County Board of Supervisors honored the Morongo Band of Mission Indians on Nov. 19th with a resolution celebrating  the 30th anniversary of the Morongo Thanksgiving Outreach Program and recognizing the tribe’s ongoing commitment to helping those in need.

Morongo Donates 13,000 Turkeys to Mark 30th Anniversary of Annual Thanksgiving Outreach Program

The Morongo Band of Mission Indians has given more than 100,000 Thanksgiving turkeys

over the past three decades to aid families, veterans and seniors in need.

 

Morongo’s Annual Turkey Program Tops 1.3 Million Meals Served

The Morongo Band of Mission Indians began distributing 10,000 free turkeys on Monday, Nov. 17, to charities and churches that will use the donated birds to provide an estimated 150,000 Thanksgiving meals to families, seniors and veterans across Inland Southern California and beyond.
