Player Services Attendant

Description

Serve members and guests by maintaining golf cart and range conditions and attending to golf bags. Greet all members and guests; provide instruction on proper cart handling and the loading of clubs on the golf carts, as needed. Ensure an adequate level of range balls; collect, clean and deliver balls; rotate mats; ensure functioning of lighting equipment, and tee alignment; maintain clean water in club cleaner and ball washer. Other duties include trash removal, golf ball picking, culling of cracked or damaged range balls.

Qualifications

 

  • The ability to operate the following equipment: golf cart, golf ball picker, ball washer, ball dispenser, pressure washer and golf cart jack.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills are required for this position.

FireFighter Paramedic

Description

Under the direction of the Fire Captain, protect life and property through fire suppression, fire prevention and emergency medical aid.  Respond to fire alarms, medical calls and other emergency situations on the Morongo reservation and enterprises. Description

Under the direction of the Chief or Lieutenant, work with outside law enforcement departments; investigate and/or follow up with incidents including, but not limited to; crimes of violence, Tribal ordinance violations, property crimes, automobile accidents and any incident in which the Tribe may incur liability;  perform internal employee evaluations/investigations, use of force reviews, policy & procedure reviews; act as supervisor/watch commander when needed; provide other law enforcement services to safeguard the lives, property and rights of Tribal members, guests and employees; respond to crime and accident scenes, emergency and non-emergency situations and other requests for assistance; enforce the laws and ordinances of the Tribe, City, State and Federal law.

dispatcher

Description

Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, perform dispatch communications services and appropriate emergency notification assistance for the Morongo Band of Mission Indians and its residents, government facilities/staff, and the Morongo’s business interests. Serve as a communication link in emergency situations until the situation is resolved; answer overflow emergency and non-emergency calls; provide emergency dispatch self-help; and make notification calls to staff, and other agencies on incidents as needed.

Qualifications

 

 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated skill with presenting and summarizing information in a variety of written formats, using clear and concise language.
  • Must have experience working on computers and type a minimum of 35 wpm with a minimal amount of errors.

Grant Manager

Description

Incumbent is responsible for writing grants to local, state and federal agencies on  behalf of Morongo Band of Mission Indians. Grant managers are responsible for selecting which funding entity best matches the goals of each project. When applying for a grant, they collaborate with staff to write proposals and letters of inquiry, communicate with granting agencies, track the status of requests and submit evaluation reports to contributors.  The position will track grant reporting after Notice of Award and assist managers in completing progress reports

Qualifications

 

  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), OMB Circulars and Public Administration, with emphasis on fiscal management, fund accounting, and government finance is required.
  • Current Driver License and insurability on Morongo insurance policy.
  • Any combination equivalent to: Bachelor’s Degree in related field and ten years experience with tribal programs involving grant writing, tracking and budgeting; or a combination of education and work experience.

HVAC Maintenance Worker

Description

Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, perform a variety of activities in the maintenance and repair of buildings, systems and equipment.   Duties include, but are not limited to: servicing AC/Heating units, refrigeration equipment and small appliances; light plumbing and electrical work; troubleshoot equipment and systems; drywall work, painting, graffiti abatement; Research and ordering of material or equipment; Safely and efficiently operate hand and power tools as well as machinery. Victims of crime project attorney

Description

The Morongo Victims of Crime Project Attorney is an experienced attorney who will provide civil legal assistance to nuisance, domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking and dating violence victims in cases relating to their victimization. The Morongo Victims of Crime Project seeks to ensure the rights of all individuals to a safe and secure environment and to empower those who are being oppressed by reducing trauma and ending re-victimization resulting in the protection of future generations. The Morongo Victims of Crime Project is a new grant project funded by the Department of Justice Office on Violence of Crime. The Morongo Victims of Crime Project will provide holistic legal assistance to victims of nuisance, domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking.  Morongo Victims of Crime Project will deliver a responsive system to victims with immediate access to legal services.

Qualifications

 

  • Must have thorough knowledge of federal and state laws pertaining to Indians; Must have a working familiarity of victims' advocacy;
  • Must have excellent legal research, writing, and oral communication skills;
  • Must have a substantial understanding or experience working with or within Native American communities;
  • Must have the tolerance and patience to work with upset, frustrated, or impaired persons;
  • Must be willing to work directly with clients and assist with presentations geared toward the Tribal community;
  • Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or Word, Excel, and Access;

Description

Under the direction of the F&B Manager,prepares food/menu items (hot and cold) for guest consumption utilizing approved recipes, cooking methods and ingredients; prepare food for the line and buffet production; responsible for all prepared food production and menu item preparation; maintains all food, equipment and kitchens to set health codes and golf course standards; cook meals for the Golf Course restaurant and special events.

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum of two to four years experience as a Line Cook/Cook II in a full service dining establishment or food service establishment with a minimum one year experience in a specialty area i.e., broiler, sauté or wok cooking.

Speech therapist

Under the direction of the Education Administrator, the Speech Therapist’s provides specialized therapy, instruction, consultation and services for students who have disorders of language and speech which includes hearing, voice, and fluency; performs language assessments; assists in developing the Individualized Educational Plan, consults and collaborates with teachers and parents regarding strategies which enable access and progress in the classroom; monitors student progress; prepares reports; assists in transitions from grade level to grade level. Services may be individual, or provided in a small group setting, depending upon the direction of the IEP team or the Student Intervention Team. Officer II - Public Safety

Description

The Public Safety Officer II is an armed position responsible for protecting tribal assets in and around the casinos and provides for the safety, security and wellbeing of patrons and employees. When required will be responsible for armed escorts and other public safety duties as assigned.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

  •  Protect Tribal assets against loss or theft, and provide armed escorts as   needed.
  • Stand assigned posts.
  • Provide security during the cash pulls.
  • Conduct gaming tables drops, chip fills, and asset escorts.
  • Respond to breaches of the peace. 
  • Provide general armed security for casino patrons and customers. 
  • Enforce Policies & Procedures and criminal law.

  • Must be 21 years of age and possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Have the ability to obtain a NIGC key license. 
  • A current BSIS Guard Card is required. 

        Note: Unarmed officers who are selected are required to                                    obtain their BSIS Exposed Firearm’s permit within 12 months of                        their date of hire.

  • Candidate will have to provide his/her own firearm and duty gear (uniforms are provided).
  • High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
  • Prior experience with a licensed Public Safety or Security company performing officer or guard duties; or prior military service performing military law enforcement or military security related duties; or a college degree in an administration of justice related field of study, or Public Safety related degree program preferred, BUT NOT REQUIRED.  Desirable candidates without experience will receive necessary training.
  • Prior law enforcement experience, or gaming agency experience is welcomed.
  • Salary: $16.00/hourly unarmed - $18.06/hourly armed
