Qualifications

 

 
  • Provide consultation and technical expertise concerning tribal enterprise business and all apects of economic development including overall operations and activities.
  • Respond to inquiries, resolve issues and conflicts and provide detailed and technical information concerning related laws, codes, standards, requirements, goals, objectives, budgets, rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Solid knowledge of accounting fiscal systems, policies, procedures and practices. 
  • Able to make business evaluations, create and recommend procedures, analyze new trends plus operating and net margins.
  • Valid CADL and insurable on company policy.
  • Any combination equivalent to:  Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, public or business administration, economics, urban planning, or a closely related field.

cultural archivist preservation specialist

Description

The Archivist is responsible for the access to, professional care, daily management, maintenance of the archives including its organization, preservation, of historical documents and records. The archivist refines, implements, and upholds archival policies and procedures with regard to processing, documenting and accessing archival collections. Support library in aiding library patrons as part of the team support.  Liaison for cultural awareness of Morongo’s history to schools, surrounding areas and community.  Assist with workshops; and work together with responsibilities for Cultural events – Morongo Cultural Day’s, Pow-Wow, and Rodeo.

Qualifications

 

  • Associate degree with three (3) plus years’ experience in creating and maintaining computer archives and database; preserving and maintaining documents, objects, paper records, photographs, and historical records, oral interviews; anything that is of historical value.

Family advocate supervisor

Description

Under the direction of the Site Manager, plans, organizes and supervises the work of a unit of employees engaged in providing a variety of family focused prevention and diversion programs for youth and adult participants, including but not limited to, pregnancy prevention, family formation, job readiness, life skills, culture, and various youth services; coordinates and directs TANF resources in order to fulfill the purposes of TANF and to meet program objectives designed to improve life-outcomes for Native Americans within the Morongo Tribal TANF Program (MTTP) service areas.

Description

Under the direction of the Fleet Maintenance Supervisor, perform a variety of automotive repairs including gas, diesel, electric and CNG engines.  Diagnoses, repairs and overhauls engines, differentials, components, electrical and fuel systems, etc. for various powered and rolling equipment such as cars, trucks, buses, equipment and generators.  Performs tune ups, brake jobs and other preventive maintenance. Replaces common parts and makes adjustments. Maintains appropriate service and repairs records.  Responds to routine and emergency calls for repairs and services.

Qualifications

 

  • High School diploma or GED required. 
  • Must have minimum 5 years working on mechanic experience. 
  • Must possess a valid California class B driver’s license or able to obtain within 90 days of hire.

Description

Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, provide protection and security for Tribal assets in and around Morongo Enterprises locations.

Gate Officer

Description

Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, perform security and safety verification for all vehicles, Tribal members, visitors, vendors and Tribal personnel entering and exiting the Morongo Reservation.  May serve as dispatcher for Reservation Patrol Department; maintain computer generated dispatch logs and utilize proper radio transmission protocols.

Player Services Attendant

Description

Serve members and guests by maintaining golf cart and range conditions and attending to golf bags. Greet all members and guests; provide instruction on proper cart handling and the loading of clubs on the golf carts, as needed. Ensure an adequate level of range balls; collect, clean and deliver balls; rotate mats; ensure functioning of lighting equipment, and tee alignment; maintain clean water in club cleaner and ball washer. Other duties include trash removal, golf ball picking, culling of cracked or damaged range balls.

Qualifications

 

  • The ability to operate the following equipment: golf cart, golf ball picker, ball washer, ball dispenser, pressure washer and golf cart jack.

  • Available and flexible to work a varied schedule of morning, afternoon, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.

Instructional Program Liaison

Qualifications

 

  • Ability to tutor/teach all subjects K-12th grade.

  • Strong English and writing skills are required.

Substitute Teacher Assistant

Description

Responsible for assisting in the care and supervision of students, as well as the delivery of learning activities for students at various grade-levels.  These activities will take place in classrooms, on playgrounds, during bus loading and unloading, and with other school related tasks, as assigned. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, receiving and signing in children, creating documents and reports, and performing simple clerical duties.

Description

Assists manager in management of automobile service station and convenience store and, in the manager's absence, manages the store independently with minimal assistance from higher authority. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Morongo policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications

 

  • A minimum of two (2) years previous supervisory and cash handling experience.
  • Six (6) months of gaming cashiering preferred. Flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Must be 21 years old.
  • A valid Food Handler Card and gaming license is required prior to starting work.

Description

Incumbent is responsible for cashiering which includes: receiving cash payments, processing credit or debit card transactions and providing receipts to customers. Additional duties include, but are not limited to, stocking cold boxes, shelves and stand ups; helping with inventory; assisting customers; and maintaining a clean work area.

Surveillance Investigator

Description

Observe casino gaming, via “closed-circuit television” to ensure compliance with NIGC rules and the Tribal Gaming ordinances. Assist casino/hotel operations with investigations when necessary.

Qualifications

 

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the ability to maintain strict confidentiality of classified/sensitive information.
  • The employee must be competent with various PC based software programs and standard office equipment.
  • Must be able to establish and maintain productive working relationship with co-workers and management and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.

Officer II

Description

The Public Safety Officer II is an armed position responsible for protecting tribal assets in and around the casinos and provides for the safety, security and wellbeing of patrons and employees. Protects Tribal assets against loss or theft, and provide armed escorts as needed. Conducts gaming tables drops, chip fills, and asset escorts. Will provide security during the cash pulls. Stand assigned posts & respond to breaches of the peace. Enforce Policies & Procedures and criminal law & will assist outside law enforcement partnering agencies as required. Interact with patrons and team members in a positive, professional manner. Participate in continuous training programs including semi-annual firearms qualifications. May be assigned to specialized assignments and exterior public safety duties to include bike or vehicle patrol. Performs other public safety related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 

  • Must be able to establish and maintain productive working relationship with co-workers and management and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Have the ability to obtain a NIGC key license.
  • Must have strong reasoning and guest relations skills.
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Candidate will have to provide his/her own firearm and duty gear (uniforms are provided).
  • Prior experience with a licensed Public Safety or Security company performing officer or guard duties; or prior military service performing military law enforcement or military security related duties; or a college degree in an administration of justice related field of study, or Public Safety related degree program preferred, BUT NOT REQUIRED.  Desirable candidates without experience will receive necessary training.
  • Prior law enforcement experience, or gaming agency experience is welcomed.
