Statement of Purpose

Introduction

The Morongo Band of Mission Indians (“Morongo” or “MBMI”) is seeking proposals from an architectural and engineering design firm (“AE Design Firm”) to provide professional design services for the planning and design new Morongo Fire Station (the “Project”) to be located on the MBMI Reservation.

Background and Project Description

The MBMI Reservation is in the San Gorgonio Pass area in Riverside County, California, between the San Gorgonio and San Jacinto Mountain ranges, approximately 5 minutes west of Palm Springs and 90 minutes east of Los Angeles. Interstate 10, a major east/west corridor in Southern California, bisects the Morongo Reservation which consists of approximately 35,000 acres and is primarily located north of Interstate 10.

Statement of Purpose

The Morongo Band of Mission Indians’ Morongo Tribal TANF Program (MTTP) is requesting proposals
from qualified vendors to provide job preparation programs, both onsite and virtually depending on need,
focused on technology and job skill training for eligible participants at MTTP offices in Banning and San
Bernardino, CA. Courses should allow participants to earn certificates while advancing their technical skills
to gain a competitive edge in the workforce.
Submission of proposal indicates acceptance by the vendor/proposer of the conditions contained in this
Request for Proposal (RFP) and an agreement to enter into a contract for one (1) to three (3) years with an
option for renewal. During the evaluation process, MTTP may request additional information or
clarification from the proposers, or allow corrections of errors or omissions. MTTP reserves the right to
make an award on the basis of the greatest benefit to the program and not necessarily the lowest price.
